Five types of wireless Bluetooth headsets
Sep 29, 2018

For a person, using a wireless Bluetooth headset, it is probably difficult to return to using a wired headset. Of course, enthusiasts are scornful of Bluetooth headsets, and the sound quality of Bluetooth headsets can't be compared with wired headsets, let alone Hi-Fi. But for most mobile phone users, the word "convenient" is enough for many people to abandon a little sound quality performance, but also enjoy the pleasure of pulling and winding without the earphone cord.

Therefore, there are more and more Bluetooth headsets on the market. You should understand before choosing a specific product. The current Bluetooth headsets are broadly divided into five categories:

Head-mounted,

2. Traditional in-ear style,

3. Neck-mounted

4. Both ears are independent,

5. Bone conduction headphones,

I don't know which one to choose? It’s right to read this article.

1, Over-ear bluetooth headphones,head-mounted

Compared with the small in-ear headphones that Asians prefer, these headphones have such a rough European and American style. For example, the well-known Beats is a typical representative. Because the headphones are large, can accommodate larger units, more circuits, and batteries, in addition to sound quality is generally good, there are many "all-round fighters", such as noise reduction. In short, if you want to buy the most complete Bluetooth headset in one step, the headset is definitely the best choice.

Advantages: Large size, so it can accommodate more functions, and ... battery. If it is harder than noise reduction, sound quality, and battery life, it is very competitive.

Disadvantages: big and heavy, not everyone likes to be wrapped up, especially in summer

Recommended products: BOSE QC35II, WH-1000XM2, both sound quality and function, both of which represent the highest level of technology of these products.

2, Ordinary in-ear bluetooth earphone, necklace style

Among the in-ear Bluetooth headsets, these products are the earliest and the most mature in development, in other words, the cheapest. The shape of these headphones is basically the same, even the operating logic of the line control is the same. However, in terms of sound quality and additional functions, different products are still very different.

Advantages: At present, the most mature products can meet the needs of most people.

Disadvantages: Some products between the ears can sometimes grind your neck

Recommended products: Jabra Step, Powerbeats Wireless 3

3, Neckband bluetooth headset, neck hanging type:

This type can be regarded as a variant of the common in-ear Bluetooth headset, and the connection between the ears is simply made into a neck-hanging shape and hung around the neck. The benefits are still many, and the neck section can accommodate larger batteries and more complex circuits. In addition, in terms of shape and design, the neck-hanging part also has more patterns. Compared with in-ear headphones, this neck-mounted product looks obviously cooler.

Advantages: Compared with the common in-ear type, the shape is more varied, the function is more powerful, the battery life is stronger, and the price is not necessarily more expensive than the common in-ear headphones of the same type.

Disadvantages: If the neck hanging part is poorly designed, running or even walking will be awkward.

Recommended products: JBL Reflect fit, BOSE QC30, Sony WI-1000X, three models have special features, the former heart rate monitoring, the latter two noise reduction, are very practical.

4, True Wireless Stereo earbuds TWS earpods:

From a product concept, AIRPODS is the perfect wireless headset. However, in addition to Apple AirPods, these other types of headphones are divided into primary and secondary ears. When used alone, only one earphone can be used, and many products only have one ear when answering the phone. And occasionally the connection stability is not good, and the sound is delayed. Another shortcoming is that the life time of these headphones is generally short, such as AirPods only 5 hours, while products like Sony noise reduction, only 3 hours.

Advantages: There is no binding of any headphone cable, in the true sense of "wireless headphones."

Disadvantages: short battery life and more or less problematic connection stability for most products.

Recommended products: Apple AirPods, B&O Play E8. These two models may be the most stable headphones in their class.

5, Bone conduction headphones

The traditional bone earphones do not need to cover the ears, nor do they need to be placed in the ear canal. Instead, they are placed on the head, and the sound is transmitted to the auditory nerve through the tibia to produce a sense of hearing, which sounds very dreamy. Therefore, with this kind of earphone, you can hear the surrounding environment sound and the music from the headphones at the same time. This double listening experience is what many sports people dream of.

Pros: Perfect dual listening experience without hurting your ears.

Disadvantages: Sports attributes are too strong, people who don't like it probably won't prefer bone conduction headphones, although it's no problem for everyday use.
